This morning we continue our study of Romans! The apostle Paul is not ashamed of the Gospel (Romans 1:16) for it is the power of God unto salvation! Why would he be ashamed? He is fully aware that people will mock him. They did the same to Noah when he spoke of judgment. Those who mocked Noah didn’t mock him when the rains came.
Paul tells us the Gospel not only reveals a righteous not our own but a righteousness from God that we acquire by Faith (Romans 1:17) but that the Gospel reveals the wrath of God poured out on all men, both Jew and the heathen. So lays out his arguments for all the objections Jews and heathens have. Today the Jew might argue, what use then is it in being a Jew? Your children might wonder what use it is to be born in a Christian family?
Paul answers these questions and more in today’s message. Let’s study!
