Let There Be No Divisions
Speaker:Aaron Vogel
This young convert was deeply impressed and determined to make these the rules of his life. From that day onward throughout his life he made it a rule to spend the first moments of his day alone with God and God's Word. Before he read a letter, looked at a paper or even read a telegram, he went first to the Bible, that the first impression of the day might be what he got directly from God.

Greetings Beloved Church,
Paul is writing to the Corinthians to correct the sin that had risen shortly after leaving to teach in Ephesus. His first concern, among many, is the divisions that had formed among them.
This is a very Greek culture prone to arguing for favorite philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle. They would line up under philosophies like Stoicism or Epicurianism that opposed it. The Corinthian church was suffering from being more worldly than the world. They were at least as divisive as the Greek culture!
The questions then arise from the text today: 1. Are we prone to divide from the congregation and approach church as an individual? DO you seek a church to meet your needs or seek to meet the needs of others as a member of a body, devoted to one another in brotherly love. 2. Does your faith depend upon a human being rather than Christ alone? Would your faith suffer if someone you admired had a moral failure or if your worship leaders and preacher no longer led worship or preached?
Let the Word dwell in you richly today my dear, dear brethren in Christ!
My prayer for you is that you will truly be given ears to hear, that you may not only hear the Gospel but repent of your sins and believe in Jesus Christ, that you might have eternal life and so glorify God forever!
May I have words to preach and may you have ears to hear by the Spirit’s power and in the name of Jesus.
Until We See Him Face To Face,
Pastor John
